Whatever happens tomorrow is whatever happens tomorrow. Its a big - TopicsExpress

Whatever happens tomorrow is whatever happens tomorrow. Its a big deal, history in the making. Im no Nationalist never have been never will be but I am a pragmatist. I know things are politically stagnant hence the dreary cesspool of The Bourgeois Zeitgeist. What we have and what will continue is a British politic in favour for a small well off elite, to me thats not just intellectually valueless but fiscally immoral. That really hasnt changed for decades now. It isnt just the Nationalists involved in the huge surge toward independence, its cross party. I think part of that surge is about knowing unless something big, dramatic and positive about the notion of change is put into place then change will never physically happen. Pragmatically its big shifts in thought and deed creating the tectonic upheavals of change. Its the almost physical sense of politics not just the Westminster over educated idiot contingent determining the shift. Of course theres a need for intellectualism but the surge of thought and imaging needed to ACTUALLY change comes from the blood bag and bone of the people. A lot of intellectual people in Scotland are facing huge emotively conflicting, draining, freeing decisions. Theyre not being glib or anti English, theyre thinking long and hard about the direction and identity of their country. They are at last able to. If its YES then that yes has come from understanding Britain has failed and will continue to fail its people. Its an anti austerity YES, an anti food-banks YES, an anti homelessness YES, not an anti English yes. Things Westminster have not only ignored but aggressively accelerated. This isnt just politics, its hugely emotional decision making. What if you can turn the tide, what if you can actually truly, truly change the landscape of your country. What If! Powerful phrase, there are no what ifs in British politics right now or for some, time just dour increasing, brutal uncertainties. Im with Scotland whatever they vote but my pragmatic, political, what if heart wants them to say YES. Gx
