Whatever happens tonight with the Kansas City Royals, Ill sleep a very happy man. Who knew they would make it this far? Its been a wild ride with the highest highs and lowest lows, perhaps best exemplified by that historical wild card game (perhaps the best game ever played). Whats been super cool about all of this is that its given me a chance to reconnect and spend time with old friends - Jason Bush, Theron Barr, and Shiela Barr. Brian Golden & Cassie Powell. My understanding wife, Deborah, who puts up with all of this deserves the biggest thank you in the world... ... but, since the beginning of the season it has been Eddie Kurtz, Jared Macke, and me, texting with nearly every game. In many ways a support group of sorts. Its just a baseball game is something I tell myself all the time - but when you take the game out of it, you see that its something more.
