Whatever messages and emails I receive, unless I forgot about them, I will always try to reply them as truthfully and sincerely as I can as soon as I receive them. These days people are so busy, or not, or they are so socially and psychologically suave that I have to wait for more than an hour, sometimes even longer for their replies. These includes those service staff of service providers I contacted regarding their services and associates from work, schools and mutual friends. But gian pergz has a totally different meaning and context. And often than not I am still subjected to the medias nuance and subtle body language and speeches. Everything adds up slowly psychologically and it seems my association with an outsider is deem bad by locals and perhaps they are signaling that I should kow tow to the locals antics when in the first place I do not know what is happening and unlike the Germans, can only inferred from my personal life that they know more about me than I do about them - because many times all these subtleties are very personal details It kinda tells me that they do not kow tow to my association to a family and is signaling that the family should instead kow tow to them or else they wont stop and they cant stop (didnt know they were Miley Ciruss fan!) In other words we are not cooperating with each other or respecting each others privacy and all we need to do is to obey and kow tow to them and perhaps even share with them our wealth just to have peace and harmony in Singapore. And everything about this I found out through my observations. I never had any formal confirmation of my association with the family and my relationship, if any, with the family. In the end I only conclude this is a result of parochialism and definitely a lot got to do with influences, wealth, power and esteem needs (face value) with little to do with integrity, dignity, democracy and human rights.
