Whatever our circumstance, in a traditional community or not, the suffering of humanity has gone into us. We are at the tail end of the entire history of human fear. Whether we know it or not, it is a heavy imposition on the natural state. The impact of culture that in fear looks for alternative realities blinds us from our natural wonder. Social and family assumptions about gender qualities and roles have prevented us from falling into our male and female character and union inside and outside our own systems. This is a consideration that will not touch most of society. It can be profoundly disturbing to wake up to the fact that our social circumstance has severely limited our living potential.
