Whatever side one is on, heres more information on the issue. Weve been trying to educate others in the curly horse world yet they still just dont seem to care what happens to their registries foundation wild curly horses. For over 20 years, we have tried to get BLM to take notice and the rest of the curly horse world also. Neither cared enough to get involved in helping us to save these last few horses and their rare wild curly genes. Sadly BLM stated they didnt have the funding to help set up a program like they had set up for the Kigers and the Sulfers. Those members in the ABCR and ICHO who claimed they were doing so much to help protect and preserve these last curly horses, refused to help and were happy to just exploit these rare horses and only tried to find them private homes with their friends in their organgizations. It has always been the American Curly Mustang Association members goals to not just find them homes but to protect, save and preserve them and their rare gene pool. Now the curly mustang is an endangered species and will soon be gone from our American rangeland forever. Members in the Buffalo Curly Horse Registry have the largest number of BLM gathered Curly Mustangs than any other curly horse registry combined. We have honored these horses from the beginning and proudly give them the credit they deserve for being the foundation horse of all the curlies in the Americas and those that have been shipped to Europe.
