Whatever your need in life,Is there is a patron saint who is standing by to help you. YORUBA ORISA ARE SAINTS OF TODAY - 30TH NOVEMBER 2014, SCOTLAND CELEBRATES AN ORISA named ANDREW TODAY IS THE DAY TO CELEBRATE SAINT ANDREWS THE PATRON SAINT OF SCOTLAND ................so who is the PATRON Saint of Yoruba Land? As the idea of a YORUBA NATION becomes increasingly worthwhile it becomes more of a necessity to consider the OWNERSHIP of such a nation. In the West the ownership dates back to the ANCESTORS as well as those referred to as PATRON SAINTS.who are chosen as special protectors or guardians over areas of life. These areas can include occupations, illnesses, churches, countries, causes -- anything that is important to us. The earliest records show that people and churches were named after apostles and martyrs as early as the fourth century. In Yorubaland, OSUN is the Patron Saint of Those In Search Of The Fruit Of the Womb. Ogun is the Patron Saint of anyone in a profession involving the use of IRON. As Scotland slowly became a nation it needed a national symbol to rally round and motivate the country. Saint Andrew was an inspired choice and the early Picts and Scots modelled themselves on Saint Andrew and on one of his strong supporters, the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, whose statue one can see today in York, where the he visited his father, a Roman General then trying to force the Picts to go back north. Although Constantine was a pagan who worshipped the Roman sun god Sol, Constantine later became a Christian and went on to make Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. So one can say SCOTLAND is a CHRISTIAN NATION.
