Whats Good?!?! I wanted to write all my supporters, fans, friends, family, and all media outlets I truly appreciate each and everyone of you. I am happy to announce I recently completed writing and recording my forthcoming album (w/ Last Word) that is going to be titled: The Colors of Black. This full length project will serve as the follow up to my last album, The Last Great... The amount of accolades and respect I received both locally and nationally with that body of work is partly because of you and your love for good music so thanks for that... It means the world. In addition, with music being my main focus right now I gotta show my ass this time around... Haha! I decided to title this upcoming record The Colors of Black because its layered, musically colorful, very personal, and I wanted to express myself in many different ways and deliver my vision outside of a box and truly remove the mask. Many times, I have felt as being a black male I was only allowed to rap, perform, live my life, and only attain a certain amount of success to make EVERYBODY happy. This time I just wanted to create what my heart felt about losing friends, family, my job, my sanity, but gaining it all back through prayer, karma, and honesty without worrying about what anybody had to say... Ive worked with Last Word on this record for almost two years and through it all Ive learned a lot about myself, sharpened my sword as a writer and performer, and have developed a strong relationship and friendship. We put our hearts into this project and we both would have to agree its some of the best music weve ever made. Were both excited to share this collection of sounds, feelings, and audio pictures with you all Spring 2014!!!!! The first single and video will be dropping sooner than you think so stay tuned... The Colors of Black is more than a shade, its all of your ways, the bad and the good, its all of your days, its more than a shade, the scorn and the praise, the bad and the good, its every day...
