Whats going on at Grandview? Bob Rockbrune, Public Health Inspector and Communicable Disease Investigator from the Durham Region Health Department is at our Oshawa site giving hand washing demonstrations until 12:00pm with the GlitterBug Hand Show (black light demonstration) - a fun way for kids and grown ups to learn about the importance of infection prevention. Hand-washing is a cost-effective and life-saving intervention. The simple act of washing hands with soap can reduce infection rates among by 25-50%. To prevent the spread of infection, be sure to wash your hands with soap, particularly at critical moments including after using the washroom and before handling food. At Grandview, we also encourage you to wash and sanitize your hands and your childs hands before your childs treatment session.
