Whats it like to go through life hungry? UU Theater will present “Hunger Pains: A play that calls to act” on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7pm, and Sunday, Oct. 26 for a 1pm matinee. This compelling one-act play, written by a Bates College student, explores the experience of food insecurity through characters who face the reality of living with hunger in Maine. “Hunger Pains” is directed by its author, Jonathan Schwolsky, and features Siiri Cressey and Ashley Thibodeau. Our own Julia Harper, from the Good Food Council, will moderate a Q&A panel following each performance. Local partners will offer information on volunteer needs in our community. The home of UU Theater is the First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant Street (enter on Spring St., across from the Dairy Joy). Tickets are $5-10 on a sliding scale, to benefit the Good Shepard Food Bank. FMI auburnuu.org or 782-0461. ------------- Please share this promo and the poster with friends and neighbors!
