Whats on my mind? Tenants. Tenants that lose their homes. 70K evictions are filed in LA County each year. Less than 1% of the tenants that represent themselves win. Legal Aid programs provide free representation to 2200 households. Less than 3% of the need is met by this system. That is an Access to Justice Gap is currently 97% resulting in 242 families being displaced every day simply because they did not find legal help. Please take the following four actions for tenants rights in April 2014: 1) By 4/15/2014 contact elenaipopp17@gmail and make a pledge to get our outreach flyer on every refrigerator in Los Angeles County.
