Whats on my mind is how can we be so blind that we fail to - TopicsExpress

Whats on my mind is how can we be so blind that we fail to remember (or maybe some of us dont know) that our lives have been at the center of unwarranted violence ever since United States v Amistad, 40 US 518 (1841). Amistad was soon to be followed by Dred Scott v Sandford, 19 How 393 (1857)(the case in which the court said we are beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race . . . [and we] had no rights which the white man was bound to respect. Apparently, African Americans was still beings of an inferior order and we have no rights, especially the right not to be shot down like animals by white men in blue uniforms claiming to be dispensing law and order in pursuit of our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Whatever you do, please dont forget Trayvon Martin, Errol Shaw, Sharrone Mathews and Malice Green as we remember Michael Brown. Dont ignore people like Han Tak Lee, William Richards, and Victor Caminata (men who were wrongly imprisoned based on faulty forensic reports). Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. No Justice, no Peace!
