Whats really in your milk carton? When you poor a glass of cows milk or put it in your bowl of cereal in the morning do you think about or know the story behind how it made it into that carton? Just like people cows must give birth in order to lactate, so they are artificially impregnated. Then their calves are taken away from their mothers 12-46 hours after birth so that people can drink the milk instead of the new born, innocent calves. Mother cows grieve for their babies for days. The cows are milked using harmful machines that not only suck the milk from their bodies but also blood, pus, feces, bacteria and viruses, which all end up in your carton. Most dairy products contain bovine growth hormone (rBGH/rBST), which leads to breast, prostate and colon cancer. Almond milk on the other hand contains almonds, water, sunlight and vitamins. Which do you feel better buying?!
