::Whats the T.O.D?:: 11.6.13--Our Special Baby Dear Dom, I need some advice. I just recently gave birth to a baby boy & weve just been told that he has down syndrome. My boyfriend, who Ive been with for 4 years was already, for some reason, not excited about having a baby--he said it was too soon. However, just as he was starting to come around and be more supportive--we got the news from our doctor about our baby having down syndrome. Hes come by to see the baby once since then, but he barely spoke to me & my mother and he barely wanted to hold his son. His mom has now stopped answering my calls, when before she would call me everyday & send diapers. Last night he sent me a text saying he couldnt handle a special needs child, he doesnt believe the baby is his, & he wants nothing to do with me anymore. Im a 100% he is the father & would be willing to prove it. But do I continue to try to gain support from my childs father & his side of the family or do I just take care of my child the best I can?
