Whats the difference between these two photos of smiling children? - TopicsExpress

Whats the difference between these two photos of smiling children? The ones below are my students. Here, we were having a great old time learning about music and musical instruments. The two smiling children above, will never again sing songs with their teachers, or learn stories, or science, or literature, or art from them. Like several other hundred beautiful children, these two children were brutally murdered by the so-called country we call Israel (is that what it is? a country? I think i want to call it what it really is, once and for all: an illegal and brutal geopolitical aberration). So, are our children worth more than Palestinian children? When you mourned, shed tears, and called for the head of the mad murderer of the school children in Connecticut two years ago. Did you do it because they were American children? Did you do it because they were White children? Or did you do it because they were just children and their untimely deaths at the hands of a sick and twisted mind a horrible crime against our share humanity? Why are these Palestinian children then not like those children? Why are we as a country not collectively condemning their victimizer as we did Adam Lanza? Why is there no outrage across our country about this? No tears? No candle light vigils, no memorials in every corner of every county? Because they are Arabs? Because they are mostly of another religion? Mostly brown skinned? Because we have been brainwashed into believing that somehow Israel is the victim and not the victimizer, and that it has a right to kill THESE children like one kills vermin? Because THESE children are not really like our own? Why? Because they are somehow lesser humans? Somehow deserving of their tragic fate? Because they will grow up to be terrorists anyway? Can any of this dehumanizing insanity really be what is going on inside the minds of millions of Americans? I honestly no longer know what to think of so many people around me. I am both disgusted, and sadden at the complicit apathy and silence. I am nevertheless thankful to know so many of you here, that do realize that these children deserve our tears, our anger at their murderers, our outrage at the complicity of so many others, our voices of solidarity to be raised loud enough to drown the noise of insane rationalizations, media lies and government deceptions, so that not another child is murdered by a monster weve created. Without US support there would be no Israeli bombing of Gaza. The blood of the Palestinians are also in our hands, not just Israels. Maybe that is why so many of us cant cry for these children. Weve helped kill them...
