Whats with all this Live Your Truth stuff? If there is truth, then it is not pliable. Your truth would be no different than my truth or the ladys down the street. Truth is truth, and I believe since people cannot (or will not) agree as to what truth is, they conveniently indicated that its different for different people. However, there is truth. There are laws and principles that govern and they are unchanging. When we buy into the idea that everyone has their own truth, it diminishes reality. Certainly, people have different beliefs and values and would likely do well to be a person of integrity concerning those beliefs and values (for one thing, doing this is likely to show a person whether or not those beliefs line up with governing principles). But it seems to me that theres a fear of encouraging others to stand up for their beliefs and values. Of course, beliefs and values can be attacked; to stand up for them makes one vulnerable. But if we use the word truth, well... who can attack truth, right?. This use of language looks to me like someone seeking to take the easy way out by protecting what they would otherwise call beliefs or values. But a side effect is that it depicts truth as something that cannot be discovered, that it is subject to change, or that its not real.
