Whats your take on this? I am FOR the removal of teaching Filipino in college UNLESS they train the teachers to be more effective. They can also make it an elective instead of a requirement. Btw, I experienced REVERSE snobbery when I was in high school and Uni because I was better in English than Filipino which only made me dislike the subject even more. Fast forward, and guess what makes me money? My ability to speak and write in English. Youre taught Filipino since, I dunno, ever? We speak it at home, they dub foreign movies and tv series in Filipino, and its still whats mostly used in Filipino pop culture. However, things are different in when you start working, whether locally or overseas. English proficiency is not optional. Its a requirement for many jobs. You want to work in a multinational company? Overseas? I hope your knowledge of panlapi, hunlapi, and pandiwa helps you land that job.
