What’s that old saying? Oh yeah, hindsight is always 20/20. Many of us know the truth of that expression all too well, huh. If only I would have taken the time to do such and such, If only I would have taken a different route, if only I would have quit while I was ahead. Such thoughts are unending: If I would have paid closer attention, if I would have pushed a little harder, if I would have stopped pushing, if only I knew then what I know now, things would have turned out differently. All of us have lived on “if only street” at different times in our lives, but we don’t want to be caught there (as the song goes) on that day when our strength is failing, and the end draws near and our time has come. Then it is normally too late, so start “now” telling your love ones youre sorry, I want it to be different, I love you. Take time to love a little deeper – hold a little tighter – share a little more and in doing so you will limit a little the “if only’s” when you are unable to do anything about them. Proverbs 10:12 says, “Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.” G.K. Chesterton once said, “The way to love anything is to realize that it may be lost.
