Whelp - I am getting ready for my sons birthday party tomorrow evening (his birthday is the 4th). Due to my sisters condition last year and a transition the year before he hasnt had a party in a couple of years. My daughter turned 12 two weeks ago and wanted Uggs and a Northface (amongst other gifts) and went without a party….just dinner and the movies with friends (which still set me back $200). My son? He wants nothing from his parents besides a party!! Soooo?? I rented ice -- not a skating party - nope. We have a full sheet of ice for 2.5 hours for as many as we want. He has 30 kids coming - with their parents and siblings. We have half the ice divided for pick up hockey and the other half for the non players that just want to twirl. I have party favors to get together and a cake to pick up ….. busy day tomorrow and a reminder of his entrance into the world.. Cant believe hes 9 already!!
