Whelp, Ive been bawling my eyes out for the past hour at the news of Andrae Crouchs passing. I can vividly see myself around the age of 6, standing in front of our familys record player, listening to him sing Through It All and Take Me Back crying and feeling emotions that I never had before at any other music, not understanding why at the time. In retrospect, those tears that I cried as a little boy were a result of God beginning a work in my heart and was a foreshadowing of the relationship that I now have with Jesus. Although death sucks and is painful, these tears that Im now crying are not because Im sad, but rather in thankfulness to God for giving us such an earth-shattering gift in Andrae. So much so that even a kid from Toronto, Canada could be impacted by it, in the same way millions have literally across the globe. Timeless songs like The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power Soon and Very Soon We Need A Word From You and Jesus is The Answer will forever ring in my heart and stand as a testament to Gods ability to take mere man and use us for His glory. I pray that if Jesus tarries, God, for His glory, would use me in manner that I too will leave a lasting impact on the lives of those who have encountered me and my gifting. Indeed a GIANT has fallen. #ripandraecrouch #legacy #roots #pivotalmomentforme youtu.be/CvIxwc90BEI
