When 200 people died in the 2008 Mumbai attack, the whole country came out to support and the Indian government put a lot of pressure on Pakistan to stop sponsoring terrorism. In 2012, when one woman was brutally raped in Delhi, once again the whole country stood up for women and the rapists were quickly sentenced to death. For over 60 years, millions of innocent people have been killed, thousands of women have been gang raped, scores of children have been mercilessly butchered, yet not one person stands up against it. Oh, is it because the slain do not live within boundaries of this country? Is it because they speak Tamil? Or is it because Tamils sentiments dont matter to the greater good of Indians? Bhuvaneswari was mother of three. Her children were killed in front of her eyes and she was gang-raped till she died. A bomb was placed in her genitals and her body was blown to pieces by the Sri lankan army. If this is not brutal, what is? And why should this crime and many others go unpunished? Why should I be an Indian, if the country cannot be considerate to the feelings of OUR people? Dont let the fire die. We are not demanding revenge, we are demanding justice.
