When Amy Thornquist joined us as a guest rider at Cascade we knew immediately she was a class-act and a team player. Her hard work on and off the bike gave a huge boost to all of us. And that was before her impressive podium in the Stage 2 Time Trial. Unfortunately she was involved in the big accident on the following stage (which she had started at 12th in GC). In spite of a fractured pelvis she kept her spirits up cheering for her teammates through the rest of the race. She stayed off the bike recovering until just before the UCI World Championship Masters TT last week, and still got 3rd overall! We are looking forward to having her on the team and to racing more in Northern California.
