When Ashley Bridges was pregnant, she decided to forego potentially lifesaving chemotherapy after learning she had cancer, opting to put her unborn babys life ahead of her own. Following the birth of Paisley in July, a full body scan revealed the cancer had spread throughout Bridges body. She was given just months to live. “It wasn’t a choice to me,” she told CNN in a recent interview. “She’s first. I’m not going to kill a healthy baby because I’m sick…Her life is just as important as mine if not more important. I mean as a mother my job is to protect my kids.”
