When Asked What did I do in the Army I get started telling them Of all the things I got to be a part of Of what had happen to others as well as me Some times it sounds like I did a lot But in reality I was just a Soldier That was all I ever was nothing more I had a job to do and done it well Not for myself but because My brothers counted on it As I had counted on them I can say this much thou I had the honor of being With some truly real heroes In my time over in Vietnam I seen men cry and die Stand where no others would ever stand Do things none would ever believe That any one could ever do But I for one can stay it was true I was there when they went through it They walked where only a few Will ever understand What that was like or how it felt But either way I was there when they did it all It was my honor to have seen What they had done at those times Forever they and those times Will be a big part of my life For I was lucky enough To have been there with them This is what I done Written By R.C.Keckler 08/01/13
