His ideas were unfamiliar, so people dismissed them because their own lack of intellect made them incapable of understanding the value of his contribution. Years later, his theories are applied in everything from computer graphics to radio transmissions and he is the founding father of a very important subset of the field of Mathematics. Keep this in mind when your ideas are too big for the small-minded people around you. Find a way to forgive their animosity, for they know not what they do.
