When Christ transforms a person the transformation is vigorous, - TopicsExpress

When Christ transforms a person the transformation is vigorous, intense, profound and long-lasting. Candidly, it is mystifying as well. Saul was a fearless man. Immediately after his conversion he started witnessing Christ among the Jews; at first, in Damascus and later in Jerusalem. The Jews were confused about this man. He who had come to Damascus with the intention to persecute Christians has now become one of the staunchest followers of Christ and that too, in a matter of days. He even started preaching in their Synagogues that Christ was the promised Messiah; and proved it to them from their own scriptures. The Jews saw him as a threat, conspired against him and tried to kill him twice (once in Damascus and later in Jerusalem) but the disciples came to know about their plot and rescused him on both the occasions. Ironically, the apostles in Jerusalem also refused to accept Saul as a genuine convert to Christianity. However, even when all people were baffled about him and were looking at him skeptically, Saul kept growing in the Lord (from strength to strength). A person who is completely dedicated to the Lord is unmoved by difficult circumstances because his only aim is to please the one who called him. Later, Saul testified that his only ambition was to please Christ and his only goal was to fulfill the purpose for which Christ had called him. As the popular hymn goes: I have decided to follow Jesus No turning back...No turning back.
