When Congress govt in Uttarakhand was dumping the model Lokayukta - TopicsExpress

When Congress govt in Uttarakhand was dumping the model Lokayukta bill recently why Kejriwal kept quiet. Incidentally Kejriwal and Anna Hazare both had praised this bill enacted by BJP govt in Uttarakhand. -Kejriwal should learn from BJP , when it was in power in Uttarakhanda it was able to bring the strong Lokayukta through consensual approach -Kejriwal has kept aside objections put by Law ministry and LG and is heading for deliberate confrontation. His politics hinges on violating Constitutional norms and defying constitutional provisions. -Kejriwal did not send an official reply to the objections put forward by the LG and Law Ministry . He should have sent official replies instead of going all out publicly. -The former Lokaykta of Delhi Manmohan Sareen had given recommendations in 2011 to LG for a stonger Lokayukta, if kejriwal was serious he could have worked on those. Congress had opposed Sarin’s recommendations but BJP had supported it at that time also. -The Lokpal act passed by the parliament has been termed good by Anna Hazare also. The Janlok pal proposed by Kejriwal is repugnant to this act. By forcing this bill Kejriwal is challenging the concept of ‘devloution of powers’ and the balance between different units of Federal structure. That amounts to challenging the Constitution itself. -If Kejriwal is so honest, why he has not named anyone in the FIR filed in the CWG case when himself was roaming around during lection campaign with a 370 page chargesheet against Sheila. -AAP had not shared the draft of the bill for public discussion. Where has its idea of referendum gone.? Where is the transparency? -Trying to thrust a bill down the throat of Delhi without holding consultations is a clear indicator that AAP is anti-democratic. -Infact what we are witnessing today is the culture of Kangaroo courts supported by Maoist ideology where AAP decides what is right and what is wrong and those who question it are held guilty and punsihed by mudslinging, calling names, abusive language -On November 2, 2011, Kejriwal, prashant bhushan held a press conference in Delhi here is what Kejriwal said about Lokayukta bill brought by the BJP “We believe this is a great step forward in the people’s movement to tackle corruption, Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan had termed this bill cent per cent identical to Janlokpal bill presented by Anna Hazare Now let us see the doublespeak of kejriwal- In the same Press conf. Kejriwal had said and I quote, The bill formulated by Uttarakhand government has to be now approved by the Centre. So, it now remains to be seen if the Centre gives the approval or not and if it does, then the question is when?. On one hand, the central government is not yet passed the Jan Lokpal bill and on the other hand if it also does not approve the Uttarakhand Bill, it will be a very negative thing, And very interestingly when Kejriwal took support of Congres to form the givt in Delhi and the Congress govt in Uttarkhand refused to implement this bill, not even a single word was uttered by him against Congressman Steve Stockman ~ Rajiv Tuli
