When God calls a man it follows therefore that He God does that by giving one a name. It implies therefore that everyone is known to God by a name, and this name may or may not have correlation with that by which one is generally known by men. Everything answers to its name, so, everyone must answer to whatever God calls him or her even when you dont look it. Nahor called his son Abram, but God called him Abraham-Genesis 17:5, Isaac called his son Jacob, but God called him Israel-Genesis 32:28, David called his son Solomon, but God called him Jedidiah-2Samuel 12:24-25. Gideon was threshing grains in hiding when God called him a mighty man of valour- Judges 6:11-12. It does not matter what the world calls you or what your parents call you, what God calls you matters most. And when God calls you He gives you a name and you must answer to that name, because whatsoever God says that you are that is what you definitely are and God gives you the grace and power to live up to the name.
