When God led me to my 35 year old daughter who had been placed in a nursing home because she could no longer take care of herself or her child, I only left her side when I had to. When my daughter progressed in the diagnosis of ALS, Lou Gehrig Disease, her 4 year old daughter had been placed with 4 different families in hopes of securing her future when her mother left this world, however, God had closed the door each time... Raising her daughter was her God given privilege and responsibility. God closed the door to the last couple when I told my daughter that she and her daughter could come live with me and I would be the glue that held them together as she fulfilled Gods purpose in her daughters life. My daughter was 24/7 total care...with care at home a predicted failed effort by many. By the grace of God, we were strong and resourceful! We commented many times that she would not have the quality or length of life any where else. Praise the Lord for His grace! I was blessed to spend the last 4 and 1/2 years of my daughters life with her and my granddaughter exclusively. I wouldnt trade that time or change any part of it. God held us in the palm of His hand the whole time...
