When I arrived on the ship nearly 4 weeks ago I was having difficulty laying cables. Couldnt lay a single one out for a few days! Then a few half finished ones that took awhile to finally flush away but as time progressed thing started to get a little more regular with a good one a day. Now Im ripping them out nearly two a day with both ends very tidy, even tension, the right amount of slack and no tight bights. Seems to be a correlation with food supplies. When I arrived, due to weather and some human errors we were desperately low on fresh supplies of fruit and veg but more recently weve been stocked up and Ive had plenty of fruit salads, strawberries n cream and the like. Strange world we live in. Seems the moral of this story is if you want to install high quality wind farm power cables make sure theres fresh food for the crew!
