When I complain there is no parking when I head to the beach in the summer,I have to remind myself driving is a privilege not a requirement,I could have walked or biked,but the gear I need chairs,coolers,beach bag,are to much to carry on a bike or on foot,besides its hot! When I arrive and myself or my kids are without flip flops and the sand is scorching,I know I can run and find relief in the beautiful Atlantic for my body and feet,as I sit and look at that ocean,I remind myself and my kids,that this is a privilege,not a requirement. because across that very ocean,men and woman,are on hot sand,sand Im told reaches degrees that none of us wants to feel on our feet or bodies,I remind myself that the luxuries I tote to the beach,are a privilege ,not a requirement. That the brave men and woman who crawl with their 80lbs.of gear on their backs thru sand that reaches temperatures none of us could tolerate, I remind myself it is not a requirement,or a privilege,it is a sacrifice for myself and my children, so we may enjoy the privilege of sitting and enjoying the simple pleasures here,freedom,to speak,think,enjoy,It is often taken for granted,That is why I remind myself and my children,never to walk past a man or woman in uniform,never look at the ground,your eyes should be locked on their eyes,with your hand extended,to shake their hand, and humblily with gratitude and pride thank them for the freedoms we enjoy that are truly privileges,God Bless all the men and woman who have died, who are active,and those who have served , The United States of America.
