When I counsel people, the first thing I tell them to do is to - TopicsExpress

When I counsel people, the first thing I tell them to do is to start a journal of thankfulness. Why? Because it helps us to see things from a different prospective…instead of looking at what we don’t have or what is not going well, it helps us to focus on the many things that we do have and the things that are going well. This in turn helps us to focus on the goodness of God because “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights…” (James 1:17). Life is full of disappointment, trials, and heartbreak…but it is even more full of God’s grace and goodness. In the words of Corrie ten Boom, “There is no pit too deep that God’s grace isn’t deeper still.” So…what are you waiting for? Start counting your blessings and watch how your prospective changes from despair to hope...which will lead you to THE Hope! Blessings, Pastor Michelle
