When I decided to leave the island, I left almost everything behind: Safety, security, good food, good house, good friends, a good life. Here I find myself thinking about what to wear and eat tomorrow, how much to spend on a meager allowance, and the pressures that undergo my training. Here I face hardships everyday, but its worth the sacrifice. When I think about those lazy days at home, and think about my family having a good time, I realized that If I dont give everything that I got here, I dont deserve to be on the same boat as them. If I dont suffer as much, I would only get a good life out of somebody elses effort. I want to live a comfortable life, but a comfortable life using somebody elses sacrifice is not really a life worthy of respect.
