When I finally revisited early Chicago, after not really listening to the albums for quite a few years, I seemingly discovered new songs that I couldnt remember hearing back when I was in my teens and early twenties. Of course we always heard the classics over the years, like Beginnings, and Im a man, but maybe I dont remember because my music tastes had not matured yet, Im not sure. What I DO know is that this song, Listen, another one of so many little gems, written by mister Lamm, has become one of my favorites on the CTA album. Followed, of course, by the chaotic masterpiece, Poem 58, this one really gets your toes tappin, with Robert doing a great lead vocal and Terry just tearin it up! Seraphine kicks ass on this song as well, although I coulda used a little more cowbell!.
