When I finished shopping at a nearby store, I walked to the cashier area. I walked up to see more than a dozen cash registers but only two open with cashiers. I looked around. I saw at least twenty people standing in each of the two open registers. I looked at the people in the lines. They were docile, silent, obedient, and incapable of observing or thinking about reality. Their eyes were lost. I shouted to the people standing in the checkout lines: People, why are you standing there silent? Tell the store clerks to open another line, tell them to open more registers--- dont just stand there inert. The people in the lines were shocked. Their eyes glazed over-- silent and disoriented. Who am I? How dare I speak loudly and with an expectation that the world be different, how dare I tell the store clerks to open another register. Their response was one of disbelief, of shock, and confusion. They are cattle, humans who were turned into cattle by the third or fourth grade of elementary school. Its school and parents who do the most damage to children. When I politely, but firmly, asked the clerks to open another line, one of the clerks, embarrassed, called immediately for more staff to come to the checkout area. --- Thats all it takes to get what you want, sometimes, but we Americans are so deeply trashed by school and damaged parents that the system of corporate control continues, as millions of American remain silent and obedient.
