When I first came to Canada, I was in awe about trash. I finally have it down. Canada has a strong, wonderful environmental friendly recycling service. Were forced to recycle. Waste has to be divided into four categories. Bottles (glass and plastic. The city doesnt pick them up.), compost (biodegradables), cardboards, and others (basically, whatever didnt go into the other 3 categories). Youre only allowed to put out a certain amount of each per week. If you exceed your limit theyll leave it. Um. Well, the holiday season is upon us. More people gather, more everything happens. And, the trucks do NOT pick up this week. Calculating the amount of waste outside, looking at the presents under the tree, its about to get really interesting.
