When I first joined OFFB I wasnt sure what to expect. Im in a couple other Bradenton groups and thought this one would be pretty much the same. Well, I was wrong! OFFB has become Family!!! I have made so many new & wonderful friendships that have turned into Family. And I have reconnected with friends I never thought I would see or hear from again. They also have become Family. And I Love every one of you! OFFB folks have the biggest hearts in the world. We help each other with everything, big & small. Let me give you a heart warming example! Yesterday Carol Wotherspoon Manwell, Sue Wotherspoon, Teresa Carnes Martin, and my Niece, Cindy Lou Grimes came to my home to take me to lunch. I thought it was just going to be Carol, Sue & me. They all showed up at once, with a car full of groceries, canned goods & things we will need to help us thru as I go thru treatment & cant go back to work. They also gave us cash to buy meats. What Angels they are! We had lunch at Katies Cafe where we laughed & laughed! ( Cindy Lou laughed so hard she was snortin!! LOL ) Today Aunt Larry and a couple Ladies from her Church brought us some meats, canned goods, lots of bread, juices & deserts! I havent seen Aunt Larry since she was about 9 years old. I was friends with her older sister, Janice. It felt like we had just seen each other last week. Karen Thomas & her Husband Andy Anderson have helped us with food & COFFEE, a ride to the hospital in Tampa to bring Chris to see me, and lots & lots of uplifting phone calls, plus more! Chris & I cant tell you how much we appreciate & thank all of you!
