When I first met my spiritual mother, Mata Amritanandamayi - affectionately known as Amma, the Hugging Saint - I said to her, I want to come to your Ashram. It represented a life-long, repetitive theme that now came to the surface with a rush, only to be healed with a subsequent hug that instantly neutralized all residual sting.
