When I first moved to Westland I hated it. For the first couple months it seemed like everyone had a problem with how I talked or the way I dressed, more then a few times I had to walk away or laugh something said off. I remember thinking to myself (If I only had someone that had my back) then Id able to check some of these kids. One day I went to school and it was the day they made cuts for the basketball team and I didnt make it. :( I was bummed. I walk over to one of the only friends I had at that time Kevin Cruz and standing with him was this load mouth, chunky kid, wearing a green Eagles Starter jacket. At that moment I didnt know that this chunky kid was going to be exactly what I asked for, I didnt know over the years he would have my back whenever, where ever, against who ever. I didnt know that I would be tight like brothers with his older brother Jon, no clue that kid in the Eagles Starter would be called uncle Jet by my kids. I didnt see that half my friends when Im 35 would be made in one way or another threw him or his two older brothers. Needless to say I really no longer had to worry about shit talkers after that day. Today just so happens to be that chunky , load mouth kid , in the green Eagles Starter jackets birthday. Happy birthday Jeff Cook. Thanks for being the friend I needed. I love ya
