When I first posted info about this months ago, I was taken to task privately and publicly by some folks who considered this private business that was better handled quietly. That phrase has too often been associated with injustice and abuse. There are fine people on each side of this story. Beautiful, flawed and worthy like each of us. But there is institutional power - of the school and beyond that is being wielded at the great expense of these students. The costs go far beyond the financial hardships that have been incurred. They are costs to their souls.
