When I first started Marlon Teekah Personal Training in April 2007, my Why (aka my purpose) was to use exercise to get healthy- you know, stronger, leaner, more flexible... In October 2010, I took a 3 month hiatus from work to travel and think about my Why and my Values and I have spent the last year re-branding my business to depict this. In a nutshell, my company is about the Connection of three things... 1) 1 hour + 23 hours (Purpose): I believe that training for 1 hour can get people fit and improve the other 23 hours of their life, allowing them to live fulfilled (#1to23Ratio). Its more than just getting people in shape, its about how this allows them to do the things they love with the people they love. https://vimeo/104585334 2) Too Much + Too Little (Push): I believe that its important to push my clients beyond their comfort level, but I need to keep them safe by finding the right balance between pushing them Too Much and pushing them Too Little. 3) Me + We (People): I believe that physical activity can be used to strengthen people, relationships and communities from various backgrounds in Toronto.
