When I first started carrying, as soon as I got home, I would take the gun off and put it up for the night, put on the t-shirt and sweatpants and just relax. However, my way of thinking has changed. I like to keep my firearm on me or close by wherever I am. Am I being paranoid? If carrying out in public is paranoid, then yes, Im being paranoid carrying at home. It seems that here in the local news I hear of more instances of home invasions than I do of people being mugged or attacked in public. These home invasions are also happening during the day hours. So I dont like to call it paranoid but prepared. I wish I didnt have to carry in my own home.
