When I first started this back in the early 80s I had a choice to make. I could do what everybody else does and seek out corporate sponsors. A political activist like me does not make any money doing what we do without corporate sponsorship. The only problem becomes exactly whom do you represent? The people you are claiming to be working for or the corporate sponsors who actually pay you? A lot of people here lately keep telling me how many millions of dollars it is going to take to win the election in 2016. Everybody knows the centuries old adage, Money talks and BS walks. Staying true to myself and to those of you who have chosen to support me I refuse to accept any special interest, PAC or corporate funding for this campaign. I want to keep this OUR campaign with YOU working together with everybody else to make this happen. Not so I will be able to proclaim before the world look at what I (that is a very BIG I) did but look at what WE have accomplished working together. After all we ARE Americans We are not white Americans or Black Americans nor are we Asian Americans or Latino Americans. We are AMERICANS and like me most of us are 14 to 17th generation Americans. As AMERICANS we have the political clout and POWER to make this country whatever WE want it to become. Yes ladies and gentlemen America is a work in progress and has been ever since our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence. It is up to every generation to pick up the torch of FREEDOM and carry it to the next generation. Over the past few decades we have lost sight of this as we have allowed certain individuals tell us they have a better plan that they want to fundamentally change America. They want to spread the wealth or should I say spread the poverty equally to all of us. Well that is NOT the America I was bor4n into. The America I was born into was an America of prosperity for all of our citizens with few exceptions. NOW it is our turn to take back AMERICA and to turn her back onto the correct course to future prosperity and a strong America where we can be proud of what we have accomplished.
