When I flew to Orlando on Southwest in early January, I was sent - TopicsExpress

When I flew to Orlando on Southwest in early January, I was sent through a TSA precheck line; I didnt have to take off shoes or take my computer out of my backpack. I think I only had to take liquids out of my overnight case and maybe metal out of my pockets. My carryons had to go through the X-ray machine, and I had to go through the metal detector, but it was a shorter line and faster check-in. I asked what a TSA Precheck was about, and they said it was on my boarding pass. They said I could sign up for this status on a TSA website. I never went to the TSA Website. I just printed my boarding pass for another Southwest flight, and it says TSA PRE again. Does Southwest do this automatically? Is it because I have signed up for Southwests rewards program? Is it because the TSA and the NSA now know everything about me and dont consider me a risk? Should I be offended that I am considered harmless? Can I get myself upgraded to mostly harmless? Has anyone else encountered this TSA Precheck business? Will I be taken off the TSA PRE list by posting this on Facebook?
