When I got a divorce I faced a 2 year custody battle despite that I had an almost 4 inch thick amount of letters (Affidavits) from doctors, church, lawyers, leading community members and more that proofed I was the better parent – thank you feminist lawyers and feminist behind licking judges. So I am highly biased on this topic. “The best interest of the child” – it is a phrase thrown around glibly by courts, politicians and media alike when talking about children. It’s nice, fluffy language that sounds good. And it would be good, if they actually meant it. But they don’t.
