When I got back to our yard in Rillito today they had a really hot load that needed to be delivered by 5 p.m. I raced over, loaded and ran like crazy to get there, showed up at exactly 5, and walked into the batch operators office and told him I had a load for him. No you dont! I didnt order anything! That would explain why all his ready mix trucks were sitting quietly with not a driver to be found, and also gave me reason to be assured in my faith in humanity that no one was dumb enough to have a big pour of concrete during a monsoon storm! We both agreed it was my dispatchers fault (it wasnt but it was fun to blame him anyway) and when I got back I asked him, the voices in your head that told me to run down there with a load ... theyre not telling you to hurt anyone, right? Im sitting back in the motel at Prescott where Ive ended up the past three nights. I think it was Franks way of telling me to get lost ... :)
