When I got this green Mason jar at the flea market, I had assumed - TopicsExpress

When I got this green Mason jar at the flea market, I had assumed it was a recent reproduction. Does anyone know the actual age? One side reads Masons Patent Nov 30th 1858 and the other side has a Maltese Cross with the letters H, F J, and Ca (or maybe Co) in each arm. No markings on the bottom. After consulting with the other vintage glass ID group Im in, it was 50/50 split on whether people thought it was a recent (last 30 years) repro or an early 1900s jar made by Hero Fruit Jar Co. The o in the Co looks almost like an A to me (see the closeup picture), but I suppose that could be a manufacturing flaw. I like it either way but I am curious to know when it was made.
