When I had finished my set and returned to the dressing room, I was surprised to find a lithe, flexible drag queen warming up and stretching wearing stockings and heels as well as another pair of performers who introduced themselves as MC Gaff-E & the Beast. The two acts had been hired separately and all three perfromers looked amazing; MC Gaff-E was dressed in a body stocking with bright garish make up and The Beast in what appeared to me to be tight-fitting racing drivers overalls. The Beast sported an impressive bushy waxed moustache. Very polite and friendly, they invited me to watch their act, which I was intrigued to do having been told it was a mixture of rapping and dancing and DJing and not being able to imagine wtf this would look like. However, in the kerfuffle of the woman collapsing (mentioned below) I decided to escape while I could, so sadly I missed the act.
