When I had my first call in 2012 from the South Florida biker - TopicsExpress

When I had my first call in 2012 from the South Florida biker community asking if they could participate in our annual Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities, I was a bit hesitant. I knew nothing about them, other than seeing them regularly fly past me on I-95 at twice the speed of sound, or seeing them cruising leisurely down A!A on a Sunday afternoon with a biker gal pal riding shotgun. But I eventually talked myself into it and took a chance. Early in the morning of the 2012 event, I could hear a distant rumble coming through the woods at Spanish River Park. Then suddenly there they were. Bike after bike rolling into the park with the fury of 10 tornadoes sweeping across the Oklahoma Plain. Never had I heard such a rumble in my life. But as I looked around me, I saw children with disabilities light up, their faces smiling broadly. I saw veterans in wheelchairs giving a thumbs up. I saw our volunteers laughing and waving. And I knew we had a home run. I cant begin to tell you how much we have enjoyed having these extraordinarily big hearted men and women participating with us each year, which is why this particular commercial from Carlsburg Beer truly resonates with me. Enjoy it and we hope to see you and our biker pals at the Bash on March 21, 2015. https://youtube/watch?v=g6OaSzoSpHE
