When I harvested my cabbages recently, instead of digging them out or composting them as I would normally do, I cut the heart off & left the stem & leaves there. Now Im surprised that I have a whole new lot of little cabbages with very firm hearts coming on. Does anybody else practice this? I meant to go back the next day or so to clean up, but I didnt, & now Im glad...more cabbages for another day.
