When I lived in Rome in the 80s...I used to love to take the train out here...it was amazing...there was no entry fee...nothing guarding it...you could just walk around these amazing ruins with a small amphitheater, you could tell by the mosaics in the market what vendors were where....it was incredible to me that I could just walk in and walk all around it...ancient murals, four story apartments...I couldnt believe it wasnt protected... I loved it...Im glad they are doing further work out there...
